Leah Abel - Victim Support Coordinator

Leah Abel is one of our victim support coordinators. Leah has been with Abbott House since 2015. Prior to Abbott House, Leah worked for the Department of Human Services as an investigator for Child Welfare. Leah has a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Oklahoma. She enjoys working with our families, providing comfort and support, connecting them with resources, and simply listening. Leah loves being outdoors, spending time with her husband and two children, reading, and cheering for the Boston Celtics. Leah is a huge asset to our agency and we are fortunate to have her.

Misty Baldwin - Forensic Interviewer

Misty Baldwin began her work as a forensic interviewer in February 2015. She came to the Abbott House from the Child Protective Services Division of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. Misty received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Social Work from Abilene Christian University and was awarded an ASWB Social Work License for the state of Texas. Misty has previous work experience as a Medical Social Worker, Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Specialist and Resource Family Specialist. Misty has a passion for preventing child maltreatment and advocating for child victims. While in Child Protective Services, Misty was selected to be a lead Child Welfare Specialist and was given the responsibility of completing investigations in complex child abuse and neglect cases. Misty also received certification to serve as a Child Welfare Mentor. Before coming to the Abbott House, Misty completed over 2000 child interviews and over 3000 adult interviews in regards to child maltreatment. Misty has completed 500 + hours of training specific to the field of child abuse and neglect. Misty resides in Oklahoma City with her husband and three children.

Andreé Danley - Director of Operations

Andree Danley is the Director of Operations. Andree has been with Abbott House since the fall of 2017. Prior to Abbott House, Andree worked for the Cleveland County District Attorneys Office as their Finance Coordinator . She was employed there for seven years. Andree received her bachelor's degree in Public Affairs and Administration from the University of Oklahoma and minored in Political Science. Andree loves being a part of Abbott House. She loves knowing that She's a part of an amazing team that is making a difference, and giving children a voice every day. Andree loves spending time with her family, working out, all things basketball, reading, volunteering for Royal Family Kids' Camp and traveling.

Lisa Dunson, APRN FNP-C, SANE-A, SANE-P - Director of Medical Services

Lisa Dunson is our director of medical services.  She graduated from OU in 1998 with a bachelors of science in nursing.  She continued her education with a master' degree in forensic science form UCO in 2004.  It was during that time she started working with sexual assault victims.  Lisa's nursing career has included working with victims of crime, consulting, and home visitation with mother's and babies.  Lisa Graduated form Frontier University in 2016 with a masters degree in nursing and is a licensed family nurse practitioner.

Bethany Holtslander-Petrone, RN - Medical Advocate & Outreach Coordinator

Bethany Holtslander-Petrone is a resident of Norman and joined Abbott House in December 2015 to assist in the medical program. She became a registered Nurse January of 2011, and is trained in adult/adolescent and pediatric Sexual Assault Nursing. Bethany currently serves Abbott House in a role of Training and Outreach Coordinator and loves this work! She trains on recognizing and reporting child abuse with a curriculum developed by Abbott House called Safety In Action. Presentations are provided without charge to professionals, volunteers, parents, etc. Bethany also volunteers at the Rape Crisis Center in Norman performing adult/adolescent sexual assault exams. To relax, Bethany will stay in and watch documentaries or get outside to photograph and travel. She is learning to garden and finds importance in organic foods. She is married, has one smart little daughter and has a furry family of 3. 

Christi Williams - Forensic Interviewer

Christi Williams began her work as a forensic interviewer in May of 2016. She came to the Abbott House after serving over six years at the Department of Human Services. The last three years at the Department of Human Services was in Child Protective Services where she served as a lead Child Welfare Specialist and was given the responsibility of completing investigations in complex child abuse and neglect cases. Christi received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Pre-Professional Psychology from Southwestern Assemblies of God University and has completed a Master of Science in Behavioral Sciences degree program through Cameron University. Christi has completed 1600+ child interviews and 2400+ adult interviews in regards to child maltreatment. Christi has received specialized training in the field of child maltreatment over the past three years.
